Sorgeto Bay
Sorgeto is an inlet, home to a very real open-air thermal park. Hot mineral water springs, therapeutic saunas and steam baths, this is what – at the dawn of time – Mother Nature blessed Ischia with. Today, anyone in need of reducing stress and tiredness can come and take advantage of these very natural benefits for free.
You can reach the cove by sea or climbing down a steep ramp of stairs that starts at Panza. Letting yourself relax in the sweet/salt mix of water (with temperatures that change from 35°C to 37°C depending on the tide) while watching the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine is a truly amazing sensation. But be careful – the rocks and pebbles can sometimes be very hot!
The most amazing thing to do at Sorgeto is swimming at night, floating in the warm water gazing at the stars. These unforgettable moments can even be enjoyed in the low season, as the island’s winter is always mild, the thermal waters warm and the crowds far away during the winter season!
