FAQ

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • What time can I check in and check out?
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM, while check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. You may request an early check-in or a late check-out by contacting Reception in advance. Confirmation depends on availability and may involve additional charges, which will be communicated at the time of the request.
  • What are Reception hours?
    Reception is open 24/7.
  • Which languages are spoken at Reception?
Everyone speaks Italian and English; in addition, some members of staff speak French, German, Spanish, and Russian.
  • Where is the hotel located, and how can I get there?
The hotel is located on the island of Ischia between the municipalities of Lacco Ameno and Forio—more precisely, it is part of the municipality of Forio. Via Provinciale Lacco 284 – 80075. From Botania you can reach San Montano Beach, Negombo Park, and the center of Lacco Ameno on foot in under 10 minutes, while with our shuttle you can reach La Mortella, San Francesco and Chiaia beaches, and the center of Forio in under 10 minutes.
To reach the hotel from Capodichino Airport, you will need to take a taxi (the cost is about 30 euros) or the airport shuttle (the ticket costs about 5 euros) and get to one of Naples’ two ports (Molo Beverello for hydrofoils and Calata di Massa for ferries), which connect Naples with the island of Ischia. We recommend Molo Beverello because there are more connections and the crossing is faster (about 50 minutes). Ischia offers 3 ports: Ischia Porto (the largest; both ferries and hydrofoils dock here and it has the most connections; it is about 7 km from the hotel), the port of Casamicciola (where both ferries and hydrofoils dock; it is about 3 km from the hotel), and the port of Forio (where only hydrofoils dock and departures are less frequent; it is 2.5 km from the hotel). Once you arrive at the port, you can reach Botania by taxi or private car (maximum travel time is about 15–20 minutes). For those arriving by car, it is also possible to reach the hotel via the port of Pozzuoli, where ferries depart for Ischia Porto and Casamicciola Porto. The hotel can arrange, for a fee, private transfers by private car and public boats, or by private car and private speedboat, and also by helicopter. You can request one of these services by contacting Reception in advance; the price varies depending on the number of guests and the type of service requested.
  • Is there parking on the property?
There is complimentary, unattended parking on the property for our guests.
  • Does the property have an elevator?
Botania Relais & Spa is a spread-out resort and does not have elevators.
  • What accessibility features does the hotel offer?
Botania Relais & Spa is a spread-out property immersed in a park of about 3.5 hectares. Access to some common areas and certain services may be barrier-free, although moving around within the park requires walking along pathways and outdoor areas. To help guests get around, we provide a golf cart. The rooms and bathrooms are not designed to be suitable for guests with mobility disabilities, as they have structural limits that do not allow fully facilitated access. The hotel does not offer dedicated services for guests who are deaf or blind, such as tactile signage, visual alerts, or specific audio systems.

Il Corbezzolo restaurant and Il Mirto restaurant are accessible.
One of the outdoor pools can be reached without stairs; the others have more complex routes.
The SPA includes steps and is not fully accessible. As this is a spread-out property made up of several buildings, terraces, and pathways on natural ground, there are steps and uneven stretches that may represent obstacles for guests with reduced mobility.

DINING

Ischian gastronomy comes to life in our restaurants, where season and land set the rhythm of flavors. At “Corbezzolo,” tradition meets the day’s catch and local meats, while at “Mirto,” a vegetarian fine-dining restaurant, creations are born straight from its own organic garden: it doesn’t get more zero-mile than that! The newest addition, “La Cucina di Nonna Marì,” offers a one-of-a-kind experience: light lunches on the terrace among terraced woods, private dinners in the traditional kitchen, and fun cooking classes to learn the secrets of Ischian cooking.

Two small pools with spring (thermal) water on terraces in the woods, sea/gulf view. These two “minor” pools—but very striking—sit on natural woodland terraces with views over the sea/gulf. They feel designed for total relaxation, in the middle of nature. Warm water (they are “thermal pools,” meaning with heated spring water). Great for unwinding after a day at the beach or hiking, in a very quiet, panoramic setting.
2 indoor pools within our “Garden Spa”: one at 34° with whirlpool, and one at 26 °C.

Completing the wellness offer is a Turkish bath in a natural grotto and sensory showers; the SPA area is designed to regenerate body and mind.
